University of Florida announces Greenhouse Training Online courses for 2019

With limited availability of qualified labor, your best investment is in training your existing staff to make better crop management decisions. University of Florida IFAS Extension can help with four-week, award-winning, online training courses in English and Spanish. The first course of the year, Greenhouse 101, starts on May 27, 2019. Each course is completely online, and include streaming videos, readings, and assignments. They are available any time of the day, and new modules activated each week during the course. PhD instructors are available for help and interactive discussions.

Graduates receive a personalized certificate of completion.

Greenhouse 101 teaches the underlying horticultural science of plant growth to growers who lack a formal training in horticulture. Topics covered are plant parts and functions, photosynthesis and growth, greenhouse technology, flowering, compactness and branching, irrigation, nutrition, and plant health.
