BEDFORD, Texas—Aug. 5, 2025—Hort Americas, in partnership with Avé Organics, is now offering OAN 10‑0‑0®, an organic nitrogen fertilizer that delivers a 100% plant‑available source of nitrogen to growers in a ready‑to‑use liquid formulation.

For the first time, organic growers have access to a sustainably derived nitrogen solution that is pathogen‑free, weed‑free, and easy to apply through fertigation, banded, broadcast or foliar methods. Besides being produced in the United States, it is also already OMRI approved.

“OAN 10‑0‑0 is the next step in creating sustainable and productive organic systems,” said Chris Higgins, president of Hort Americas. “It gives growers the immediate uptake of nitrate nitrogen and the lasting benefits of ammonium nitrogen. It also does this without the handling challenges, logistics issues, odor, or inconsistencies of traditional inputs.”

Unlike most organic sources that require slow mineralization, OAN 10‑0‑0 provides a 50/50 blend of nitrate and ammonium that’s available right away. The proprietary production process captures and converts ammonia from digestate into concentrated organic liquid nitrogen, organic pellets and clean water. This method uses 90 percent less energy than traditional drying methods and achieves a greenhouse‑gas‑negative footprint.

    Key benefits of OAN 10‑0‑0:

    • 100% plant‑available nitrogen with zero P and K content.
    • A source of nitrogen without salt.
    • OMRI‑listed and LGMA compliant with a 0‑day pre‑harvest interval.
    • Low odor, low solids and no risk of clogged drip systems.
    • Pathogen‑free with rigorous batch testing and posted lab results.
    • Reduces nitrogen runoff and eliminates the need for raw manure applications.
    • Compatible with fertigation systems such as drip, sprinkler. and pivots. Also suitable for banded, broadcast or foliar applications.

    Product specifications:

    • pH: 6.5–7.5
    • Density: 9.4 lb/gal
    • Formulation: Liquid, translucent amber with minimal sediment

OAN 10‑0‑0 is available now from Hort Americas in 270‑gallon totes for organic and hydroponic operations seeking higher yields, better nutrient control, and more sustainable growing practices.
