Indoor-ag-con-2016LAS VEGAS, NV. (February 3, 2016) — Indoor agriculture is one of the fastest-growing parts of global farming as it aids in tackling issues of drought and offers local fresh produce year-round to consumers. Indoor Ag-Con – the US indoor agriculture industry’s leading conference – will be hosting its 4th Annual Indoor Ag-Con in Las Vegas, NV on April 5-6, 2016 to discuss the prospects for this technology-rich industry.

The two-day seminar will be hosted at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and is tailored toward corporate executives from the technology, investment, vertical farming, greenhouse growing, and food and beverage industries, along with hydroponic, aquaponic and aeroponic startups and urban farmers.

The event will consist of keynotes from industry leaders and extended networking breaks. The first day of the event will focus on commercial aspects of the industry, while the second day will offer a deeper dive into technical topics, such as LED lighting and control systems. The event includes an expanded exhibition hall area, with capacity for more than 60 booths. Participants will also have the opportunity to network at a drinks party on the first evening in the exhibition hall area.

As with each Indoor Ag-Con event, the event’s focus will be on networking: “we pride ourselves on uniting smart professionals who wouldn’t otherwise meet. Historically, we’ve focused solely on those growing produce in indoor systems, but are expanding to a ‘crop-agnostic’ approach this time around, encouraging networking with all who are working on indoor agriculture technologies, regardless of the crop on which they focus” commented Nicola Kerslake, founder of Newbean Capital, the event’s host. Agriculture technology companies, suppliers and automation companies will have the chance to meet and mingle with leading vertical farmers and commercial greenhouse operators.

The event is sponsored by industry leaders, such as Argus Control Systems, CropKing, Dosatron Intl, Illumitex, Priva, and Transcend Lighting. Its media partners include AgFunder and HortiDaily. Confirmed exhibitors include: Agra Tech Inc, Argus Control Systems Ltd, Dosatron International, Inc., Ellepot-USA, Envirotech Greenhouse Solutions, Grow-Tech, LLC, Hort Americas, LLC, Illumitex, Indoor Farms of America, LLC, International Horticultural Technologies, LEDBloom, PARsource and Transcend Lighting.

Indoor Ag-Con has also hosted events in New York, NY and in Singapore in the past year. Since it was founded in 2013, Indoor Ag-Con has captured an international audience and attracted some of the top names in the business. Its events have welcomed over 1,000 participants from more than 20 countries, as far away as New Zealand and the Philippines. In the past year alone, it has hosted two TechCrunch Disrupt winners as speakers at its events, and has been featured in international media, such as The Guardian.

Newbean Capital, the host of the conference, is a registered investment advisor; some of its clients or potential clients may participate in the conference.
